Patterns, Patterns, and More Patterns

Patterns are everywhere!  There are patterns in words, numbers and counting, in our environment and even on our clothes!  We are learning to identify, make and extend patterns. 

We love modeling our pattern headbands for you, too!

 

Kindergarten Scientists!

We are learning about science!  We began our unit by exploring what science is and what scientists do.  We discovered that we do many of the things that scientists do.  So....we are scientists!!

With the help of our 4th Grade Buddies, we preformed our first science experiment. We made predictions about how many drops of water a penny would hold.  Then our Buddies helped us test our predictions and record the results.  It was an exciting day!

Fun With Sight Words!

This week we introduced the sight word "the". We learned to recognize and write it, as well.  We went on a word hunt and were surprised to discover how many times it is used in our books.  We had a lot of fun singing this song to reinforce our learning. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Look Who Came to Visit Our Class..........

On Friday, three Grain Valley High School Football Players dropped by to read us a story!  It was very exciting to have these "local celebrities" in our room!  See how interested we all were?!
