PUMPKINOLOGY!!
Happy Fall!
The trip to the pumpkin patch provided us with our own little pumpkins to use for science and math explorations! We used them for sink and float, to introduce circumference, comparing heights and measuring with non-standard units. Thanks to our 5th grade buddies for helping us with each activity!

Don't Let the Pigeon...
During Writing Workshop this week we have been learning to read like an author. We have been studying the work of author/illustrator Mo Willems and trying some of his techniques in our books!
We were inspired by his book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and used it to create our own class book.

There's a leader in me!
This week we introduced Habit 2. We learned how to begin with the End In Mind and the importance of setting goals and having a plan. We listened to THE VERY BUSY SPIDER and our 5th grade buddies helped us with goal setting.
