Immersion into Alphabet Books

With an immersion into alphabet books, we are preparing for the next bend of this Reader's Workshop unit. In this part of the unit we will look closely at the beginning sounds as we learn to recognize and read words blends, such as br, bl,sp,dr, etc.

Height Comparisons

This week in math we learned about measurement. We worked on comparing height and length of objects and learned more about using words like longer, shorter, or taller to compare objects. 

Here we are building structures that are taller than us! 

States of Matter

Today we took advantage of some fat snowflakes and our new unit on matter to do a quick science experiment. We caught snowflakes and watched as they turned from a solid to a liquid.

Fluency Practice

Kindergarten leaders worked on their fluency today as they read to preschool students today!
